Using the power of football, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) works in partnership with local communities to empower individuals to improve their lives and their environment.
CACT’s ground breaking and innovative programmes are delivered through a regular presence in schools and working with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups in society, through crime reduction initiatives and community based football coaching sessions.
The types of programmes delivered by CACT fit under five key aims: raising educational achievement, creating pathways to employment, building healthier lifestyles, bringing communities together and reducing crime.

An exciting new opportunitiey has arisen within the Charlton Athletic Community Trust Alternative Curriculum department (CACT AC). CACT AC delivers alternative education to learners who are excluded or are at risk of being excluded from mainstream education.
CACT is looking to appoint three Lead Tutors to work within an exciting school set up. The Lead Tutors will be fully responsible for delivering GCSE or equivalent qualifications which include Maths and English. Candidates will be fully responsible for preparing and delivering lessons in all areas of the curriculum, helping to manage learner behaviour, and some administative duties, including taking registers.
Suitable candidates will have previous teaching experience, with strong ICT skills.Training will be delivered by CACT AC and Folkestone Academy and the successful candidate will be require to undertake several courses including First Aid, Fire Safety and Safeguarding.
