Reporting to the Company Accountant, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the company’s costing information and associated systems, and using these costs for the purpose of reporting and analysis. Providing internal accounting control for company stock and overall responsibility for control of the company’s assets and internal job register also play a key part in this role. In addition you will have sole responsibility for operating the company’s purchase ledger system including the balancing of cash outflows whilst maintaining good supplier relations.

The successful candidate must have experience and understanding of the behaviour and interaction of costs in a manufacturing environment and be familiar with the use of standard costing methods. Experience in the use of standard MS office applications and accounting systems/packages is essential as are good general administration skills. This role is based in a small but busy office and the ability to work well as part of a team or independently is a must. This role would suit a highly organised person with the ability to implement their own processes and prioritise workloads accordingly. A professional approach with good communication skills is imperative.
