About the role: The Leigh UTC require a suitably experienced Receptionist who will assist the Office Manager to ensure the effective operation of all aspects of the main school office and reception. The successful applicant will also proactively support the development of a dynamic learning community through effective delivery of administrative services to meet the needs of every stakeholder. The hours are Monday-Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm and Friday 8.00am-4.00pm, Term Time + 1 week of inset.

What are we looking for? To be suitable for this role, it is desirable that you would have had experience in a similar role. Reception can be a busy environment so prioritizing and keeping calm under pressure are key. Most importantly, you will be the main point of contact for many external and internal contacts for the Academy so professionalism is essential to this role.

About the Leigh UTC: The Leigh UTC opened in September 2014 in Dartford with state-of-the-art facilities. This is a role that will allow you to truly be part of something very new; not only a new school but a new approach to educating 14-19 year olds; which is possibly the most exciting change in the education landscape in decades.

All students at The Leigh UTC specialise in either Engineering or Computer Science; at 14 they will also study a broad and balanced curriculum and at Post 16 the curriculum becomes more specialist with A levels in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer Science, Product Design and Chemistry being studied alongside their specialist BTEC Level 3 course in Engineering or IT with a handful of globally recognised qualifications to prepare them for the workplace.
