Carers FIRST and Crossroads Care Medway have recently merged the two Organisation’s and are now known as Carers FIRST.

We are currently seeking to appoint support workers to join our existing team who provide respite support to carers in their own homes and care for the person with care needs to enable the carer to have a break. We deliver a holistic practical and personal support service to our carers/clients including children and older people with a range of needs. The visits we provide are for a minimum of 1 hour. Our focus is person centred in providing a service that meets the need and the requirements to support the main carer and the cared for person.
You will need to be caring, flexible and reliable and have a range of skills and knowledge and committed to deliver quality services.
To be considered for these posts candidates will need to hold or be willing to train for the NVQ2/3 in social care, previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
You will need to be a car driver with an up to date licence, YOUR OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL
Benefits:
Contracted hours – 20 per week
From £8.09 - £12.13 per hour (Enhanced rates paid for evenings and weekends)
Mileage allowance paid @ 45p per mile
22 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays (Pro Rata)
