My client is a well established manufacturing organisation based in Kent. They are currently recruiting for a Senior HR Officer to join them on a fixed term contract basis until Q3 2017.

The role of Senior HR Officer will be to support the delivery of the key processes within the HR Department, with particular focus on generalist HR and strategic projects for Manufacturing.

Working closely with management you will be required to provide guidance and leadership across a full spectrum of HR covering resource planning, recruitment and selection, talent management and succession, engagement and retention, reward and employee relations in order to maximise individual and business performance.

Specific responsibilities will include:
-Coaching line managers to manage ER processes competently, in line with legislation in order to build their knowledge and capability
-Identify and undertake initiatives that deliver commercial value; for example reduced sickness levels, improved retention and promoting from within
-Support the end to end recruitment process and deliver site induction to new employees
-Actively participate in HR projects as appropriate

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and organised individual to join a fast paced and very busy team. You must be enthusiastic, resilient with a generalist HR background and be able to cope well prioritising multiple tasks. A logistics, retail or manufacturing background would be beneficial. You will ideally be CIPD qualified or working towards this.
