You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive payroll service for Saga by delivering an accurate and correct monthly payroll for the Saga Group. This will include establishing and publishing an annual calendar to enable timely receipt of data and instructions authorised in accordance with Corporate Governance. You will also work closely with the Head of Benefits & Payroll to ensure the company does not breach any tax legislation and that Saga remains tax compliant at all times.
We are looking for someone with proven experience and knowledge of managing all aspects of a high volume payroll including HMRC requirements, employment and taxation legislation both UK and international.
You must display an excellent understanding of payroll procedures and controls gained within a payroll department of a large to medium size company. Have excellent interpersonal skills / concise communicator, both verbal and written and the ability to work with others to achieve results / interact effectively at all levels / strong team player and natural developer of people / inspire others to reach a common goal.
The successful candidate will ideally be educated to A level standard including maths and English. CIPP qualified or studying toward qualifications or other suitable professional qualification is desirable.
Your primary role will be to support the Head of Purchasing in day to day commercial and operational tasks and be the main contact point for overseas suppliers and tourist boards.
