Lovely hotel in Tunbridge Wells are now looking for a kitchen porter to assist and support the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
•To contribute as instructed by the Head Chef and be responsible for the cleaning of the kitchen, kitchen/service equipment and associated areas to the agreed standards
•Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible and routine
cleaning is completed to schedule
•Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery
and cutlery.
•Unload food and equipment deliveries.
•Keep the storerooms organised and manage stock rotation
•Ensure refuse and recycling are stored correctly and ready for collection
•Help out in other areas when requested.
•Work to the agreed standard of hygiene practice as outlined in the Food
Safety Policy.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Good verbal communication skills
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Confident and professional approach
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
• To be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times
if required.
• Previous experience as a kitchen porter in a similar establishment.
