Ethelbert Fostering Services are looking for a qualified registered Social Worker who has experience in fostering, to join a small and committed team. The role is for an Annual Reviewing Officer and is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker who is dynamic and motivated to take the opportunity to implement and have overview of the Foster Carer review process. This would be alongside and with the support of the Practice Development Manager, Panel Administrator and the Social Work Team.

We have recently changed how we undertake Annual Reviews to using the BAAF Form FR. The role involves working within a team and promoting development in the agency. We see the Panel as central to our processes and subsequent good practice. We recognise Foster Carer reviews are fundamental building blocks to monitoring and improving the quality of foster care and subsequent quality of experience for fostered children.

This is an exciting role for a Social Worker, with experience in fostering, in developing this area of the service with the support of a strong team. We would like the Annual Reviewing Officer to undertake direct work with all our children in offering them a voice and also in evaluating our own practice alongside gaining the views and support for our Foster Carers.

The successful candidate must attend and present their reports to our Panel and all Annual Reviews must be completed in a timely manner meeting deadlines set. The Annual Reviewing Officer must be confident in report writing, presenting at Panel and chairing meetings. Applicants should demonstrate an ability to have an overview of information from professionals involved in the care of fostered children with a proven ability to analyse and disseminate information.
