The post holder will be responsible for delivering internal training in the Health & Social Care Sector.

Specifically, Avante Care & Support provide high quality care in older age, by providing home support & residential services.

The Job Role
The role will involve working with staff and managers to create, deliver and monitor training programmes to incoming and existing staff. Experience in providing care to clients living in their own homes and a flexible approach to work is essential, with some weekend and evening work (with time off in lieu).

The Person
Ideally, the right candidate will be qualified/competent to deliver a range of courses including:

• Moving and Handling
• SOVA
• Equality and Diversity
• MCA/DOLs
• H&S, COSHH, Infection Control, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene
• Dementia
• Medical support/First Aid including CPR
• Induction training (Care Certificate standards )
• Nutrition & Hydration.

The candidate will have extensive experience and demonstrable skills in training within the sector (further professional development provided where required). You will be self-motivated, have good time management skills as well as be able to use initiative within the scope of the job role. It would be desirable that your experience includes supervisory/management skills.

The successful candidate must have a Health & Social Care qualification at level 3 or above and be a competent user of IT including Microsoft Office applications. It would be desirable to hold a level 3 in Training & Education or equivalent or be willing to train for the same. Travel to various locations in Kent and South London will be required and applicants must hold a full clean driving license.

As a part of the selection process, you will be required to deliver a ‘micro teach’ session of 10 minutes training, to the interview panel on a skill/subject of your choosing.
