Swanley Banqueting is looking for a Venue Assistant to support the Venue Manager in managing a busy banqueting venue effectively and efficiently. Flexibility to work at both The Olympic and Alexandra Suite is required.
We are looking for individuals to meet the following criteria:-
•Ability to relate well to colleagues, councillors and members of the public
•Experience of working in a high pressure environment
•A good understanding of bar, catering, restaurant and banqueting operations
•Ability to work effectively without supervision
•5 GCSEs including Maths and English
•Line Cleaning
•Cellar Management
•Able to prioritise and manage workload
•Self-motivated and pro-active
•Be able to work in an organised and methodical way
•Ability to supervise in a positive and encouraging manner
•Have excellent numeracy and cash handling skills
•ICT literate and able to use the internet with confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
•Be able to work accurately to deadlines
•Be able to work under pressure
•Be able to adapt to different levels of clients and deliver consistently excellent service
