We are currently looking for an experienced Dredger Mate / Relief Master to work on our client's Dredger, providing assistance and back up to the Master at all times, whilst also ensuring that the vessel is operated safely, efficiently and in an environmentally sound manner.
The successful candidate will support the Master with the supervision, training, motivation and health and safety of the crew whilst deputising as Master during periods of leave.
The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that the vessel and its crew provide an effective and efficient dredging function for the port.
Qualifications and Experience
STCW II/2 Master >500gt Near Coastal
Medical Care qualification
ENG1 (Unrestricted)
Proven small vessel (>24m) handling experience
Skills and Abilities
Good working knowledge of the ISM Code
Knowledge of Health and Safety as applicable to Merchant Shipping
Flexible attitude to work demands and hours
Good communication and leadership skills
An ability to work unsupervised and motivate others
You will demonstrate a passion to provide a first class service in support of our clients commitment to provide the best service that will be for the benefit of their customers and community.
