We have a full-time, fixed term, vacancy for a digital marketing assistant to cover the work of our in-house developer who will shortly be absent on maternity leave. The contract is for 6 months, subject to a probationary period, but there may be a possibility of this being extended, or the offer of another role within the company after this period, if the successful candidate demonstrates other attributes and skills during their time in the job.

Obart Pumps Ltd, of Maidstone, is an importer and UK distributor of water pumps Successfully selling off-line for many years, with a simple on-line presence, the company has now developed a radical website that combines videos and images with a powerful, user friendly pump search and select tool.

Job description:

• Maintain up to date product content e.g. images, product manuals and instructions.
• Create weekly/monthly promotion banner via HTML
• Update and maintain the social media platform with engaging interactive material
• Plan, create and upload product images and videos
• Edit product images with related software e.g. Photoshop or Illustrator
• Work closely, initially, with the in-house developer then with external web designers, management and sales staff

Skills required:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Creativity and imagination
• Be thorough, precise and be willing to learn new skills
• Familiarity with Powerpoint, Excel, Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator is essential
• Experience with HTML and CSS is preferred
• Experience with CMS (preferably Drupal) is ideal
• An understanding of SEO, Google Analytics and selling products online is an advantage

Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
