The Williamson Trust is a family of schools working together, sharing capacity and expertise: united in their passionate belief that there is no ceiling to what children and teachers can achieve. The Williamson Trust was founded by Governors of Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School in April 2011.

The Human Resources Director for the Trust is seeking to recruit a capable and experienced HR Assistant to support the delivery of a high quality service across the schools within the Trust. As a first point of contact, the HR Assistant will deal with queries and provide administrative support through all stages of an employee’s life cycle.

This is a new and important role involving a range of duties to include; recruitment, HR and payroll administration, management reporting and project work. You will also provide advice to staff and the senior leadership on HR policy or procedure.

You will have a good knowledge of employment law, experience of working in an HR Department and will be used to organising and prioritising your workload. You will need to work well under pressure and have a deadline orientated approach to your work. You will also need accomplished IT skills, a positive customer service ethic handling sensitive issues and have a keen eye for detail.

Ideally you will have an NVQ or similar relevant qualification or CIPD level 3 certificate/diploma in Human Resources Practice, or are willing to study for a HR qualification.

In return we can offer a role that is varied and interesting, giving you exposure and development in many different elements of HR activity. You will be in a position to develop the role and your career by assisting on exciting projects such as supporting the HR Director with the implementation of policies and systems.

You will be based at one of the Trust Schools and be required to work at any of our other Academies. The role is for 37 hours per week for 40 weeks per year and the salary will be pro-rata.

The Trust is committed to the safeguarding of all children and young people. The offer of appointment will be subject to enhanced level DBS clearance, receipt of two acceptable references and satisfactory completion of other vetting procedures. Applicants who have been resident outside of the UK within the last five years, if offered a position, in addition to a DBS, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident. Additional employment and referencing will also be undertaken.
