WHO CAN FOSTER?
Foster carers can be married, single, co-habiting, male, female, same sex couples and be of any ethnicity, culture or faith. There are no upper age limits for foster carers as long as you have the energy and ability to care for children in need of care.

TYPES OF FOSTERING PLACEMENT
We can offer you a wide variety of placement types and duration to suit your circumstances and strengths.

Children who come to us range in age from very young to late teens. They come from a multitude of backgrounds and issues bringing them into the care system. They include a single child, siblings, teen mother and baby, migrant refugees, and there are children who have been abused, abandoned or whose parents are unable to cope.

What binds them is their need for a great deal of support, patience, guidance and care to help them through one of the most turbulent times of their lives.

ABOUT YOU!
To become a foster carer you will need the following attributes:

• You are over the age of 25
• You have a spare bedroom in your home
• You are happy to work from home full-time and be self employed (we’ll help with the paperwork)
• You have the support of family and friends where applicable
• You have the passion to nurture and are patient and remain calm under pressure
• You are warm hearted and supportive, firm and fair minded
• You are cheerful, positive and like to motivate others
• You live in Ashford, Medway Towns, Maidstone, Faversham and surrounding areas in Kent.
• And finally, you have the desire to make a difference to society by transforming a young person’s life
