My client, an established Accountancy Practice based in Mid Kent, is currently recruiting for an Audit Senior to join their existing team. Role responsibilities include;
• Help to assist with the management of the department.
• Supervise junior and semi senior staff on audit and accountancy assignments on audits of all sizes.
Audit
• Head up an audit team on smaller company audits (usually reporting to either a manager or a partner).
• Supervise junior and semi senior staff.
• Liaise with client’s accounts department.
• Draft potential audit journals and summarise all audit differences.
• Write notes for partner.
• Draft report to management.
• Complete Audit Completion Checklist & Companies Act checklists.
• Carry out audit work which cannot be delegated to junior/semi senior staff.
• Plan audits of all sizes.
• Preparation of audit documentation utilising Mercia Audit Programmes on Caseware paperless audit system.
• Preparation of statutory accounts (including consolidated accounts) currently utilising Sage Accounts Production Advanced.
• Identify opportunities where we can add value as part of the audit process
Candidate
• The candidate will either be an exam qualified (preferably ACA but would also consider ACCA) or time qualified (with 1-2 years’ post qualification experience) Audit semi-senior/senior.
• The candidate should have a good academic background in terms of degree and A levels.
• Experience using Proaudit/CCH/Viztopia/Alphatax software is preferred.
• It would also be beneficial if the candidate has experience preparing accounts under IFRS and dealing with solicitors/charities/FCA clients and consolidations.
