My client, a prestigious, multi-faceted online retailer, with global presence are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to manage, oversee & expand it UK’s presence.
This is fantastic opportunity for someone with a comprehensive background in Logistics, Warehouse Management & Supply Chain.

This is a brand new role and needs someone who is seeking an exciting new challenge, and wants to utilise their Logistics knowledge skills and experience working for a highly reputable retailer.
This role is a stand-alone role initially, but eventually as the site expands you will be managing a team.
This role will need someone who understands marketing & brand management.
The company has a very ambitious plans set for growth in the UK & Europe forecast for year 1 and, therefore you will need to be ready for a highly demanding role, covering every aspect of the supply chain, but you will be suitably rewarded for your efforts.

The role will also involve some travel; visiting other distribution centres across their network, ensuring best practice, costs and in line with projections & all targets are met.

Duties to include (Full & comprehensive job spec available upon application )
• All aspects of supply chain, warehouse and logistics management
• Accepting deliveries ; collate – pick & pack to dispatch
• Dispatch – Online orders ; check, confirm and liaise with transportation
• Customer service; client management, KPI’s SLA’s
• P&L accountability
• Management budgets, cost control
• Training additional colleagues as the business grows.
• Travel to other countries

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
• Experience in a logistics / distribution business highly desirable, preferably in the retail or FMCG’s industries.
• Formal qualifications in logistics and / or management desirable.
• Professional development in leadership desirable.
• Experience in Issue Resolution and Incident Investigation.
• Experience using WMS and other DC systems highly desirable.
• Leadership and team building skills including effective communication, engagement, performance review, setting clear expectations, delivering feedback and inspiring results.
• Well-developed self-management techniques including a measured approach to prioritization and delegation.
• Strategic, with lateral thought and insightful forward planning ability.
• Proactive, displays a sense of urgency, has an eye for detail, flexible and thrives on change.
