This is an exciting opportunity to work for a first class Wedding and Events Venue nestled in the Kentish countryside, near Maidstone.
My client is seeking a Business Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all operations within the Company and events held at the venue.
Working with our small and friendly team, the key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with clients, ensuring all booking details are taken and passed on to the appropriate parties.
- Being the first point of call for client enquiries, both prior to and during the event, to help the occasion run smoothly.
- Managing the staff including organising rotas and appropriate training.
- Ordering stock and taking deliveries, ensuring all information is correct.
- Managing money on site and the tills.
- General maintenance and housekeeping of the venue to maintain high standards, including resolving any maintenance issues where necessary.
- Responding to email and phone enquiries within the appropriate time.
- Assisting in the bar and kitchen as necessary.
- Ensuring all administration and checks are completed and accurate records are maintained.
The role will involve regular weekend work when there are events booked, however time will be given back during the week. You must be able to be flexible in the hours you work and your own transport is essential.

To succeed in this role you must have a pragmatic approach to getting results and working in a competitive, ever changing environment. You should have a proven ability to manage operations within budgetary constraints and have experience of leading and motivating a team. Experience in events is not essential, but would be desirable.
