Job Summary:

The successful candidate will need to work within a team and support the chef to provide outstanding food to the staff at SEM, covering breakfast, breaks and lunches. We will provide training and the opportunity to gain NVQ qualifications for the right candidate. This is a permanent role, working 9:30AM til 5:30PM Monday to Friday.

Duties:

Food preparation for the salad bar, sandwiches and hot lunches using fresh ingredients
Cook from set recipes as part of the 6 weekly rotating menu
Follow food hygiene principles
Maintain cooking area by cleaning as you go
Check the quality of fresh/chilled food deliveries
Provide excellent customer service at the servery and till area
Work with pace to complete service at each break time within target times
Manage a buffet service for visitors

Who are we looking for?

Ideally you would also have previous experience of working in a kitchen, and possess a Level 2 Food and Hygiene Certificate.
