Seasonal Host at Pinewood Camping Pods
Port Lympne Reserve is home to the Multi Award-Winning African Safari Experience where guests stay in our luxury accommodation at Livingstone Lodge, Bear Lodge, our exclusive Livingstone Cottage and new to the park Pinewood and the Treehouse hotel.
We are looking to recruit experienced hosts to ensure we provide the highest level of customer service to make our guests’ stay the most memorable experience possible and to meet all of our guests’ expectations during their stay with us here at Port Lympne Reserve. The posts are seasonal, starting from March 2016 until the middle to end of October 2016. Normally you will be required to work variable hours over 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends and Bank Holidays. Salary in line with national minimum/living wage.
The role
• meeting guests at check in and ensuring they are given a warm welcome;
• helping the guests understand what activities and food outlets are available to them and assisting in the booking of these as required;
• cleaning guest and staff areas and maintaining high levels of cleanliness throughout;
• assisting guests at check out.
The person
• You will be conscientious, have a warm and friendly approach and a keen eye for detail and importantly be able to deliver a high standard of customer service by putting guests’ needs first.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A warm approachable manner to both short breaks team and guests
• Self confident and the ability to use your own initiative
• Good time-keeping
• Good organisational skills
• A neat and well groomed appearance
• Valid full UK Drivers Licence
Desirable experience
• Relevant experience of working in a lodge, chalet, hotel or bed & breakfast with knowledge of cleaning, changing bedding and preparing areas for the next guests.
• Relevant experience of meeting and greeting guests and providing good customer service.
• Previous experience with till and booking systems.
• Full training will be offered to the right candidate.
