An exciting new role has been created in HL Hall (International) Ltd for an Assistant Commercial Accountant to join the European Finance Team. The role will focus on supporting the grower side of our operation who supply fresh produce to the business. This will primarily involve calculating grower returns & managing grower profitability. The full time role will operate from the UK Head Office in Paddock Wood, Kent and will be mainly office based with occasional travel from time to time to the various offices within Europe as and when required.

The Assistant Commercial Accountant will provide support to the Commercial & Finance Team throughout the business. It is a varied role covering commercial analysis as well as more traditional financial accounting.
This role will report directly to the Commercial Accountant supporting them with looking after the commercial team as well as grower’s requirements around the world. They will also work closely with the rest of the Finance team, acting as a bridge between commercial and accounts.

Key Duties to Include:

• Provide the business with timely, accurate and relevant trade reporting and analysis
• Production of grower returns & profitability reports
• Preparation of various weekly/monthly reports
• Processing supplier produce invoices & co-ordinating authorisation process for payment of supplier produce invoices
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting
• On-going review/audit and analysis of transactional costs, to ensure accuracy
• Support the business with data extracts from the ERP system
• Assist on the budget and re-forecast processes
• Assist the Commercial Accountant on preparation of grower quarterly & annual reviews
• Assist on cash flow forecasts
• Assist the Finance Manager Europe with ad-hoc analysis & support
• Provide cover for Finance Team members in all aspects of accounts
