Full or Part Time (Senior) Account Manager (1 year contract with possible opportunity to extend)

A specialist Strategic Marketing Consultancy servicing the Construction industry, we are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join our close knit team, based in Goudhurst, Kent.

We are experts in the construction field with our clients comprising of product manufacturers, distributors, building contractors, industry associations, architects and consultancies.

The Role and You
This role will be managing a portfolio of clients as well as supporting the wider team of account executives. The role will involve working closely with the owner of the business managing existing accounts, prospects and building on relationships to develop new business.

This is mixed role with travel playing a large part in the role. The office in Goudhurst will act as your base and travel tends to involve; visiting clients, attending client events, visiting exhibitions and networking events to prospect for new clients.

Your working day will typically be standard office hours, Monday to Friday (we are open to discussing flexibility of these hours for the right candidate).

However, when a deadline or event is looming, you’ll be expected to put the extra hours in to ensure the success of the project.
Job Role
• Managing a portfolio of accounts
• Using contacts to generate new business
• Attending meetings with clients
• Giving presentations
• Compiling marketing strategies
• Consulting clients about campaign requirements and objectives
• Developing and carrying out marketing campaigns and monitoring their progress
• Analysing, interpreting and presenting campaign results
• Adhoc market research
• Managing design, web development, promotion and media agencies
• Putting together new client proposals
• Agreeing time scales and budgets
• Supervising staff
• Financial administration

• Construction industry experience
• Confidence and a persuasive manner
• Great business sense and the ability to work to budgets
• The ability to delegate and motivate others
• A degree in Marketing or similar

• Driving license
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong digital marketing knowledge and experience
• Commercial awareness
• The ability to work to deadlines and cope with the consequent pressure
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Team-working skills
• Good Numerical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm, motivation and the ability to show initiative
