Ethelbert Fostering Service is looking to recruit a highly motivated, skilled Practice Manager who can demonstrate excellent leadership and management abilities alongside experience of fostering and a working knowledge of the National Minimum Standards and Fostering Regulations.

You will lead in the development, support and supervision of experienced Supervising Social Workers and Independent Social Workers who are assessing carers. You will need to evidence good practice and enable the team to reflect and improve their own practice on a daily basis.

As an experienced Social Worker, you should have a good understanding of all safeguarding matters and be confident to lead in this area, demonstrating drive and determination when working together with other professionals to promote the welfare of the children we are passionate about providing outstanding care for.

The role is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a supportive and forward looking team. You will take on new challenges, in a great working environment, with the necessity to also work on the front line of fostering, visiting Foster Carers and service users as part of the role, making your job more enjoyable and varied as a manager.

You will need to be HCPC Registered and have at least 4 years post qualifying experience. Fostering experience is essential in addition to evidence of managing Social Workers. Some experience in Child Protection or a similar team would also be beneficial.
