Senior HR Advisor, City of London, £42,000 - 46,000
Main focus of role:
* To work with Head of HR in driving forward the HR strategy
* To engage with and influence key stakeholders by upwardly managing relationships and working closely with the senior leaders
* Being capable to make decisions that will support and challenge the HR agenda
* To contribute by working creatively and enthusiastically to support the business in achieving its goals
General
* To support the achievement of the company vision and overall strategy
* To contribute new ideas to take the business forward
* To apply our Company values to all that we do
* To promote, and pro-actively monitor Equality and Diversity in the workplace
Project Delivery
* Responsible for key projects as assigned by the Head of HR
* To manage transformational change
* To provide specialist advice and coaching to employees and management on all HR related matters
* To proactively manage employee relations
* Responsible for the recruitment process, managing the PSL and supporting managers with selection in a cost effective manner
* To retain IIP accreditation ensuring operational activity in line with best practice
* To come up with ideas to take the HR function forward
Commercial
* To manage and monitor expenditure within budget and ensure sign off of all expenditure such as recruitment
* To ensure full compliance with employment legislation
* To safeguard the Company at all times by ensuring best practice in line with HR policy
People
* Point of contact for employee queries
* Point of contact for line management support
* To manage the communication of all necessary information
HSQE
* To ensure full compliance with all Company policies and ISO accreditations
Key tasks
* Compliance with all HR policies and procedures and Company-wide management systems
* To develop a framework of policy and procedures for staff and line managers to work within
* To come up with ideas on things we can change and improve
* To provide advice and guidance on Company policy and procedures
* To liaise with Company solicitors in respect of specialist legal advice
* To engage with line managers to proactively approach people management issues
* To support line managers when dealing with performance management, performance improvement, absence management and capability issues
* To manage resource planning
* To be responsible for the recruitment cycle
* To source cost effective and innovative recruitment solutions
* To liaise with the PSL and review performance
* To ensure Equality and Diversity monitoring in line with Company procedures
* To be responsible for the on boarding of new employees
* Support the Graduate/IP programme
* To proactively manage the PDR process
* Work with managers to identify future talent and support their development
* To up skill managers in employment law and people management practices
* To encourage effective communications within the Company
* Input into payroll
* Input into monthly board report
* To analyse statistical information and trends and make recommendations as appropriate
* To ensure that the HR administrators maintain accurate records
* Any other duties which are reasonable
