A reliable and professional M&E Contractor and FM Service Provider with a passion for their work are looking to recruit an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record of working on new build and refurbishment projects up to £20 million (M&E value).

Their client base ranges from MOD, housing developers, providing domestic, reactive and planned works to blue chip corporate businesses including BT and Deutsche Bank supporting FM services and carrying out minor and major project works. They operate in all areas of the construction and FM industries with a key focus on M&E installations, building & fit out works, design & build projects, refurbishment projects, CAD design and reactive services.

You will be either a fully RICS qualified or equivalent. The role will include all aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy pre and post contract duties include

* Estimating deliverable, competitive pricing for tender submissions with supporting quotations and cost matrix data.
* Ensuring initial project budget are produced in line with the overall price and margin expectation, this being communicated to the delivery team for successful tenders as part of the pre contract mobilisation process.
* Tendering and evaluating potential subcontract works to ensure best value cost delivery where appropriate.
* Working with the design team and assessing the price impact of potential design proposals.
* Evaluating internal direct delivery labour costs for best value including day works, piece work payment and fixed price work.
* Quantifying and approving subcontractor applications for payment where support is required by the delivery team or where there may be further validation required.
* Assisting delivery teams with the preparation and or validation of periodic applications for payment to the client, monitoring the progress of applications for payment through to certification.
* Ensure that appropriate work variations procedures are in place and are being adhered to across the business.
* Evaluating smaller works on an ad hock basis to ensure that procedures are being adhered to and claims for works carried out are valid.
* Evaluate efficiencies of service and productivity including the review of material, labour and subcontract practices and rates.
* Manage and ensure the continual development of all team members and drive motivation.
* Work in conjunction with senior managers to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Continual monitoring of the market place to be conscious of latest trends and sector initiatives.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement and effectiveness of your team through periodic review meetings.

Whilst this role will be based at their office in mid-Kent, there will be regular travel to both sites and contractorâs offices.
