Cook / Chef - Commercial Kitchens

Location: Gravesend, Clarence Row
Wage £8.00 per hour : £15,600 pa
Permanent part-time post 37.5 hours per week.

Age UK North West Kent is a local independent registered charity and company working to promote the well-being of older people living in the Boroughs of Dartford and Gravesham. It has a high reputation for the quality of its meals provision.

Reporting to the Head of Group Catering, the post holder will primarily assist with cooking duties, and general kitchen duties at our main site in Gravesend, but on occasion may be required to work at our Dartford centre.

The charity is seeking a candidate who will work to the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness, be part of an excellent catering team, and be flexible delivering varied tasks and duties. On a daily basis the post holder will assist the catering manager and supervisor in preparing, cooking and serving food both for our day services clients and the ‘Fresh Meals Service’ delivered daily out to the community. Week-end and Bank Holiday work on a rota basis will be required.

The post holder will have proven experience of working in a commercial kitchen and hold the relevant Food Hygiene qualifications, however training will be available.
