Connect2Kent are looking for a temporary full time Purchasing Officer to receive requests for support packages, ensuring details are inputted onto the client systems and service delivery orders are produced. Liaise with providers in the implementation of support packages and report any issues with provision to the Line Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Process support package requests, sourcing the appropriate support in line with the service user's requirements and within the relevant purchasing strategy.
2. Negotiate with providers, relaying accurate and appropriate information about the service user, ensuring support is provided in a way that meets the needs of the client.
3. Update the system with service user details and information about their support packages to ensure that service delivery orders are produced promptly and accurately.
4. Liaise with providers directly when there are changes to service users' support packages, ensuring they are fully up to date with the requirements and changes can be implemented with immediate effect or within defined timescales.
5. Monitor the usage of purchasing arrangements, reporting back to the Line Manager any areas of shortfall in service provision to enable the relevant action to be taken..
6. Contribute to meetings with service providers to ensure services are continually reviewed and improved where possible.
7. Provide statistical information to the Line and Locality Support Manager as requested to ensure service provision and budget can be adequately monitored.
8. Contribute to the Transaction Data Matching process to ensure correct payments are made to providers and to work to resolve issues which cause delays in the process.
*The successful candidate will be required to carry out a new BDS check initally, £25 payable by yourself.
*Candidates will be required to register at our office in Kings Hill, West Malling and will need to complete an online skills test prior to registration.
