An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator to join a well-established, large client in the South Kent area.
As a key member of the events team you will be responsible for day to day delivery of hospitality, catering and all other functions within the establishment. You will deliver events to the highest standard possible to make sure you meet and exceed the client’s expectations. The role would be suited to someone who has Event Co-ordinating experience, enjoys communicating and has great level of organisational skills.
You will work 5 out of 7 days and must be flexible, due to occasional changes.
45 hours per week.
The Job:
• Ensure that the venue is presented to the best possible standards at all times
• Liaise and negotiate closely with external suppliers and clients, regarding the provision of equipment, staffing, timing and arrangements
• Project manage events from the initial contact through to delivery on the day
• Providing and planning a timely set up of equipment, staffing, smooth running of service and efficient post-event breakdowns
• Liaise with the internal departments to ensure service standards in events
• Ensure that all functions at the establishment are complying with relevant licensing legislations
• Pro-actively market the company which can include attending trade shows with correct presentations to promote the establishment to secure sales.
• Hands on running of the events/functions
• Be a source of information to guests
• Any other administrative duties
The Successful candidate will have:
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure
• Must have a wealth of experience in a similar role
• Will have strong numerical skills
• A strong sales and customer service focus, to ensure that maximum profit is made without compromising the level of service delivered.
• An affable personality
• Strong communicational skills
• Will be professional, approachable and friendly both face to face and telephone.
