An exciting new partnership opportunity between Tenterden and New Romney Day Centres has arisen to develop a new catering service within a brand new scheme for older independent adults. We are looking for a catering team with enthusiasm and drive to set up a 365 day service providing a varied menu to residents and visitors.

The service will run between the hours of 8:30am and 6:00pm and the Chef will be required to work 12 hours from 8:00am – 2:00pm on alternate Saturdays and Sundays and will be fully responsible for the kitchen on those days.

The Chef will be responsible for all aspects of running of the service at the weekend including:
- Delivering high standards with a consistency of service at all times
- Ensuring that the service meets all regulatory requirements and comply with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations
- Producing a range of high quality seasonally inspired menus and ensuring that the dietary requirements of the clients are supported
- Supervising the team of catering assistants effectively
- Maintaining a welcoming, client focused service

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. The post is offered initially on a 12 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of further extension.
