Hotel House Keeper

The Job
Our client is really proud of their heritage, their culture and its customer service. Everyone who works for them shares the same values and vision, working together to delight their customers. In this role, first and foremost, you’ll be responsible for making sure that your establishment is up to the standards and expectations, enhancing the customers’ experience.
Their housekeepers are responsible for making sure that accommodation areas are cleaned thoroughly and are an essential member of the team. Together, the team creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for customers, making sure that they keep customers returning and encouraging new ones to try them. Friendly, efficient customer service and consistently excellent standards of cleanliness is essential.
This role carries a number of key daily, weekly and quarterly responsibilities and objectives, all centred around creating a first class customer experience and supporting your colleagues and your General Manager. You’ll be responsible for making sure that our high standards of cleanliness and presentation are kept up, both in customer areas and back of house, from bedrooms and corridors to offices. You’ll have a daily list of jobs to work through depending on arrivals, departures and room occupancies, and will supplement this with periodic tasks such as turning mattresses and cleaning curtains and lampshades.
You’ll also keep on top of laundry.
About You
You’ll have relevant skills with the experience to back up your application.
You may have a number of years’ experience, or you may be at the beginning of your career but feel that you have the right attributes to work well in a customer service environment.
You’re calm and patient, able to manage your emotions at times of stress, and a team player who likes to make sure that your colleagues are well supported.
You’ll care about the customer’s experience, of course, and you’ll enjoy coming up with new ways to make a difference. You’ll get a lot of pleasure out of doing your job well and will continually be looking for ways to improve.
It is essential that you have your own transport!
