Canterbury Oast Trust takes pride in providing good quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex. We provide long-term accommodation and care, based in small, unique family style homes. The ethos of all our homes is to support independence, dignity, choice and achievement by helping people to live the lives they choose. Rosemary Cottage is home to six people with varying abilities who have complex learning disability needs including physical and sensory impairments.
RESIDENTIAL CARE
ROSEMARY COTTAGE, WOODCHURCH, KENT
Permanent; Full-time 162.5 hours per month
(Part-time hours considered)
Salary Scale: £13,629 - £15,004
plus Complex Needs Allowance of £2,020 per annum (pro-rata for part-time workers)
If you enjoy helping people and want to make a difference to their lives, this could be the job for you.
Working as part of a larger team you will provide good quality care and support to the adults based on their needs through a person-centred approach. You will assist them in every aspect of their daily lives, including personal care by providing a safe and supportive environment that enables individuals to feel valued, reach their potential and nurture their aspirations.
Your own vehicle and a current driving licence (ideally for manual cars) are required due to our rural location. An Enhanced Criminal Records check is required for this role. Experience of using specialist equipment and knowledge of autism/diabetes/cerebral palsy & continence care awareness would be an advantage, however full training will be given to the right person.
This is an exciting role where no two days are ever the same. Benefits include a competative salary, weekend & sleep-in allowances, generous annual leave entitlement, healthcare cash plan and excellent learning & development opportunities.
