Media Sales Executive

Salary 16-18K plus commission plus Car, Laptop and Mobile

Based in Gravesend

My client is looking for a driven and passionate sales person to sell advertising space in the form of Radio, Newspaper and online advertisements. Field Sales experience is an advantage as you will be on the road for 70% of the job, however any Sales experience other than retail is required. You will be responsible for the following:

• Updating own knowledge of products and services by using subject experts and self-learning.
• Ensure equipment provided is maintained.
• Company car to be cleaned and maintained in order to promote a professional image.
• Diarise your day in order to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Maintain a professional business dress image at all times.
• Liaise with Editorial and Marketing when identifying new revenue opportunities (Launches, new openings, events etc).

Duties include:
• To maintain and build customer base and to prospect and generate new revenue opportunities
• To organise up to 15 or more pre planned appointments per week ensuring all media is pitched and focus on series sell, budgets and campaigns for clients.
• To work with marketing sales support to plan and prepare bespoke presentations/media packs and audio for appointments.
• Ensure customer communication focus is 80% of working week (phone, email and face to face).
• Demonstrate a knowledge & understanding of market area and take ownership for patch ensuring all business opportunities are sourced.
• Contact clients in market area revisiting non active and new businesses organising campaigns for new opening, launches, promotions.
• Generate leads from competitors in area and make opportunities to contact clients.
• Identify new revenue opportunities engaging with niche publications where relevant.
• Update and process booking to next level (CRS system).
• Maintain credits to below 1% of revenue generated ensuring all queries are actioned within 24 hours of raising and customer is advised of progress.
• To promote and ensure effective two way communication throughout the department
• Build effective relationships with all key areas to ensure creative ideas are shared and revenue opportunities are maximised.
• Attend weekly sales team meeting with manager and team.
• Attend weekly 1:1 with manager.
• Ensure google diary is up to date in order for teams to access.
