Are you seeking a new Purchase Ledger Assistant role working for a fun, modern and creative company? Would you like to develop your career and learn new things everyday? If so, we have an ideal role for you.

Our client would like to recruit a Purchase Ledger Assistant to work as part of their team of 4.

Within this role you will be responsible for:

Processing and managing all purchase ledger activities
Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Coding and inputting purchase invoices and credit notes onto Sage with speed and accuracy
Obtaining signed authorisation for any purchases without a purchase order
Conducting supplier payment runs, scheduling payments to make best use of available cash
Maintaining and updating the register of regular invoices
Reconciling the purchase ledger to supplier statements, resolving any differences as they arise
Responding to supplier queries by phone and email
Reviewing and processing staff expenses
Processing and reconciling bank accounts, including foreign currency accounts
Processing and reconciling petty cash accounts
Opening and sorting inbound mail
Any other duties reasonable requested by the Financial Controller

Person specification:

Good standard of education with good grades in Maths and English
Some finance experience, with an appetite to learn and develop
Strong attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone, in person, and in writing
Ability to use Microsoft applications competently (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

The hours of work for this role are Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.
