Leeds Castle, (near Maidstone, Kent) is a popular, prestigious venue for conferences, weddings and functions, as well as welcoming 600,000 day visitors each year. We have a range of catering outlets and restaurants which offer everything from sandwiches and snacks, breakfast and evening meal for our B&B visitors through to five star dining for wedding and conference guests.

Working in collaboration with our catering partners Levy (who are part of the prestigious, Compass Group), we are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef to assist the Senior Sous and Head Chef in all aspects of running a successful and efficient kitchen.

The person appointed will get assist the Head Chef in the organisation of the department including menu writing and costing, stock ordering and stock taking, tasting sessions and presentations an d staff recruitment and training.

To succeed in this positon you will need to be an experienced Chef with very high standards of presentation and menu engineering. You will need passion for developing the product and the ability to work well in a team. You will need to be well organised to ensure that menus are planned and costed with good attention to detail to meet strict Health and Safety and Food Hygiene standards. Due to our location, you will need your own transport.
