A software development company based in Sittingbourne, who specialise in software for the Vehicle Rental Industry, are looking to recruit a recent IT graduate or someone with equivalent IT qualifications to join their busy support team. Excellent communication skills, an ability to deal professionally with clients on the phone or in person are vital skills for this position. You will need to learn in-house systems and procedures and be prepared to train and support users remotely.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in the following areas:-
• Call logging
• General desktop support in Windows XP, Vista, 7, Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
• A sound working knowledge of Windows networking
• Configuring Firewalls and Routers
• Understanding of databases objects and knowledge of the SQL language
• Software installation, training and configuration
• Applying software updates to existing installations
• Using the telephone and remote control software to assist users remotely.
• Report writing using knowledge of SQL
In house training will be provided where necessary.
Pension and Health care benefits available after a 6 month probation period
Office based position based at the Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne.
09:00 – 17:30 or 08:00 to 16:30 Mon – Fri - depending on rota
08:00 – 12:00 Saturday
1 hour for Lunch
