Purpose of the Job:
To lead and manage the delivery of operational HR services and local /strategic projects to business divisions across the organisation. To support the HRBP’s in the delivery of an effective service through provision of analysis and insight into HR metrics/people KPI’s.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Provide operational HR support to HRBP’s and the business ensuring the organisation remains legal and compliant.
• Ensure HR effectively delivers all core processes within the employee lifecycle compliantly, accurately and on time. Drive the continuous improvement and efficiency of these processes.
• Deliver the automation of HR processes including (but not limited to) SAGE, recruitment, HR metrics, performance reviews and payroll changes.
• Accountable for the design and maintenance of the SAGE HR system to ensure that it is an accurate source of master data for each HR process. Exploit the system (or its equivalent) to ensure optimal accuracy and utilisation whilst leading on system admin tasks including data uploads, data cleansing and workflow design.
• Manage the delivery of HR administration via the HR Ops team including but not limited to payroll changes, SAGE, pensions (Company and LGPS), the recruitment process, issuing and amendments to contracts and requesting references.
• Lead, coach and develop the HR Ops group into a stable, high performing team.
• Lead on the design and delivery of Employee and Manager Self-Service system (ESS/MSS).
• Deliver accurate HR metrics on a monthly basis along with providing strategic SAGE HR reports to provide insight and analysis to HRBP’s and the divisions to help improve business performance and reduce costs.
• Provide HR support to HRBP’s including issues involving policy, legislation, performance management, employee relations, reward, restructures, TUPE, contracts, payroll and the SAGE system.
• Department lead for internal audit process to ensure legal compliance. Ensure legislation updates are actioned and effectively communicated and information is held in accordance with both the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.
• Support departmental and wider organisational business continuity planning.
• Lead on the development and delivery of Divisional/Functional HR initiatives as well as Corporate/Strategic projects.
You will have a CIPD/relevant HR or business related qualification with previous experience within an operational HR function. You will have knowledge of of current employment law and its effective practical application and knowledge of HR systems and how they can be used and interpreted to drive positive change/results in a business.
Experience required:
• Delivering an HR service across a diverse, multi-site operation including payroll interfaces/management.
• Working with and influencing multiple stakeholders.
• Managing and developing HR professionals and an HR admin team.
• Track record of delivering HR metrics that supported business improvement.
• Managing and developing an HRIS to provide insight and analysis to a business.
• Working effectively alongside HRBP’s delivering a seamless service to a business.
