Applicant Criteria:
In order for the post to be funded applicants will need to be aged between 18 - 24 and not in education, employment or training and registered as unemployed
Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week, occasional need for evening or weekend working. To include 7 hours per week training - the Apprentice will be supported in and study towards an NVQ2/3 in Business Admin/Customer Service
Salary and benefits: £Apprentice minimum wage, depending upon age. 25 days Annual Leave

Imago is a social action charity working across Kent, Medway, East Sussex and London. Imago delivers a range of services and projects; supporting independence, reducing social isolation and creating opportunities, for some of the most vulnerable in our communities.
Key role:
The Apprentice’s main responsibility will be to work as part of a team in delivering the Dial 2 Drive Community Transport Service. You will be booking drives for clients, making arrangements with drivers and clients, dealing with D2D information enquiries. You will provide administration support for the Service under the direction of the D2D Manager, and work towards a level2/3 NVQ in Business Administration or Customer Service.
Main Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Volunteers and Transport Co-ordinator in responding to telephone requests and booking drives across the service between 9.30am and 12.30am daily and at other times as directed
Upload the diary booking information
Provide accurate checking of Driver documentation i.e. MOTs, insurance etc.
Allocate journeys to available volunteers and confirm booking with clients
Answer queries regarding driving jobs as appropriate
Keep accurate records
Provide administration support for the Service including the recording and inputting of new membership details, and renewals
Work within the Imago Quality Systems
Attend staff meetings and training opportunities as appropriate
Key qualities/skills:
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide range of people
Empathy with the needs of older people and those with disabilities
A creative approach and ability to develop good ideas
Pleasant telephone manner
An organised and methodical approach
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team
Educated to GSCE or equivalent including Maths and English
Good computer skills, including Excel
Numerate and comfortable handling money
Familiarity with local area
Willing to undertake training and development as required
Willing and able to undertake flexible hours on an occasional basis to meet the needs of the organisation
