Seymour Hire is a long-established self-drive hire company based in Larkfield, specialising in short to medium term hire of small vans, box vans and 7.5 tonne trucks.

We are a small but very busy company offering a highly personal service to companies, sole traders and general public. We operate on the basis that all staff are able to carry out all roles within the business. A “hands on” mentality is essential.

Our requirement is for a hire assistant to grow into a managerial role dealing with the day to day booking, planning and administration of this busy fleet, working alongside the Managing Director. The role is a full-time position and includes working alternate Saturday mornings.
Essential skills/experience:

Excellent people skills, enjoying working with the general public.
Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and able to cope when under pressure during busy periods.
Good communication skills; telephone, face to face and e mail.
Good numeracy and literary skills.
Previous sales experience and familiarity with the procedures and laws relating to the operation of small/medium commercial vehicles an advantage.
Be of smart and presentable appearance.
Attention to detail necessary in dealing with card payments, logging data and compliance issues.
Have held a manual driving licence for 3 years clear of major infringements.

Additional information:
Start date immediate, subject to existing notice period. Hours 8.00am to 5.30 pm with suitable breaks.

Salary will depend on experience.
