The Spitfire is a contemporary pub and restaurant in the heart of the modern Kings Hill development; it is a busy and popular site which is also set to see further exciting expansion in the foreseeable future.

We are looking for a proven and dedicated Head Chef who has the right character and personality to inspire and motivate the kitchen brigade, together with a real passion for producing top quality food. Working to company standards and specifications with autonomy to add and develop the menu offering in the longer term, you will oversee the smooth day to day running of the kitchen.

The successful candidate will be an excellent chef with a passion for food and a respect for systems and procedures - a trainer, leader and motivator that is passionate about their teams development.

Proven experience is a similar role is key in order to be successful in this post and you must be able to demonstrate sound financial acumen including an excellent understanding of P&L analysis, menu costing, wage budgeting and purchasing. The ability to implement, monitor and improve health and safety and food safety procedures is also essential.
