My client is looking for a site manager to provide and manage an effective hygiene system to ensure full compliance with relevant legal, national and company standards, to drive improvements in hygiene standards and effectively communicate with the client to deliver exceptional hygiene standards.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Demonstrate a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Hygiene Practices.

Manage and Promote high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping within the manufacturing plant and ensure zero non conformances on house keeping and hygiene audits

Good understanding of manufacturing plant hygiene audits and practices

Maintain the hygiene standards in all areas of the factory by designing, developing and implementing cleaning schedules and Standard operating procedures based on GMP/GHP and Allergen Management requirements

Validation and verification of cleaning programmes for the site

Liaise with Cleaning Chemical suppliers and Equipment suppliers to source effective methods and equipment to aid in Plant Hygiene and cleaning procedures.

Plan, schedule and action hygiene tasks to be carried out across site and promote good team moral (day to day, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual high level and deep cleaning schedules)

Training hygiene operatives to complete tasks according to the Standards Operating Procedures and ensuring these are carried out to the required.





Skills and Experience

A proven track record of managing site hygiene

A proven track record of delivering results against objectives and managing projects requiring cross functional approaches

Good understanding and experience of food processing operations

Experience of managing a team.
