An Assistant to the Steward is required for Hartley Country Club, Hartley, Kent.
Full time position, to assist in all aspects of front of house management, to cover all cellar duties, supervising and serving in the bar and restaurant, duty management responsibilities, training of staff, maintaining standards of operation, full involvement in the business.
Kitchen experience would be an advantage.
Applicants should have the following skills:
Educated to GCSE level.
Computer literate and numerate.
Relevant experience in both bar and restaurant service.
Good people skills, confident and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for working in the hospitality business.
Salary dependent on experience.
About the Hartley Country Club
The club is a private members club with approximately 900 members, it has a large social membership as well as sports members playing cricket, tennis, bowls, squash, petanque, snooker and table tennis which means there are a large numbers of visiting teams.
The bars offers a great selection of real ales, beers, wines and fine spirits. Food is served daily at lunch time and evenings. There is also a function hall which is hired out to members.
