Leeds Castle in Kent is one of the country’s leading heritage visitor attractions, welcoming over 550,000 visitors each year. As well as the 900 year old castle we have estate buildings, holiday cottages, bed and breakfast accommodation and modern domestic properties.
The Maintenance Technician will work as part of the Maintenance Team and undertake all building tasks to assist in the maintenance, refurbishment and repair of estate buildings and properties.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the successful applicant will carry out planned maintenance work and refurbishment projects and should be skilled in carpentry as well as all other aspects of the building trade.
The successful applicant must have previous generalist building experience (and ideally apprentice or time served carpenter) and be able to demonstrate a record of building projects undertaken. To succeed in this role you will need to have a ‘can do’ attitude, be hard working and be able to complete all works to a high standard and finish. You will also need to be a good team player.
