Into the Blue are looking for an Account Manager to join our enthusiastic Suppliers and Experiences Team. You’ll be expected to maximise the performance of selected existing accounts, create new partnerships in key product categories and source exciting new Experience products for Into the Blue customers.
We’re specifically developing our Gourmet, Pampering, Hotel Break and Days Out categories however our ranges also cover Flying, Driving and Outdoor Adventures so experience in any of these areas would be an advantage.
The Role
• Maintain existing Suppliers and Experience ranges
• Execute the sourcing strategy for new Suppliers and Experiences
• Actively approach new suppliers and sell the benefits of an Into the Blue partnership
• Negotiate target margins from suppliers in line with goals
• Deliver monthly KPI’s to ensure targets are achieved
• Visit suppliers to strengthen partnerships and promote our brand
• Sign off contracts and deliver key data to the Supplier Support Team
• Contribute ideas for future suppliers and products
• Deliver exceptional experiences for our customers and suppliers
Personal Attributes and Skills
• Self-motivation, you’ll be approaching potential new suppliers every day so will need to be confident, enthusiastic and have the drive to succeed
• Negotiation – you’ll need to be able secure the best deals for our customers
• Communication – you’ll be approaching suppliers over the phone, by email and face to face. You’ll need to sell the benefits of a partnership with Into the Blue, whilst understanding the needs of each supplier
• Organisation and Detail – you’ll be working on multiple opportunities and passing on key data to our content management team so accuracy is essential
• You need to be confident on the phone and be proficient in using email, word processing and spreadsheet software
Requirements
• You should have some experience of Account Management or B2B sales
• Previous experience of the Activity or Gift Voucher Industry would be of benefit
