Leeds Castle is a former Royal palace which was substantially refurbished during the 1920s. It was left by its last private owner to the Leeds Castle Foundation in 1974, who manage the building today. The castle and it rooms are used regularly for residential events, and the Foundation pride themselves on sustaining a “living castle” in which to welcome and entertain guests.

The business activities of the castle fall into a number of different categories; day visitors and the associated catering, retail operations, hospitality including conferences, weddings and banquets. We also have a number of holiday cottages and bed and breakfast accommodation for visitors to stay in and this year we have introduced ‘Glamorous Camping’ or Glamping, which has proved very successful.

We are now looking for an experienced electrician to join us to become involved day-to-day maintenance, special projects and overseeing external contractors across the estate.

The successful applicant must have previous experience and be qualified to IEEE 17th edition. He/she will need to be flexible and happy to work both as part of the team and unsupervised, and also prepared to get involved with other general maintenance tasks.

The hours of work will be 40 hours each week, generally to be worked from Monday – Friday although there are some out of hours working required for special projects.
