Connect2Kent are looking for a part time temporary Student Services Officer in Canterbury.
A BDS will be required for this position (£25)
Hours of week:
Hours will vary. A flexible working approach is required to ensure business needs are met. The working pattern will include weekend and evening hours as required.
Purpose of the Job:
1. To provide excellent customer service throughout the ‘student experience’.
2. To actively ensure learners (and staff) have a positive experience.
3. To promote and maximise enrolments.
4. To work as a member of the district team in a flexible and hands-on way to support all local activities.
5. To ensure systems and standards, including building/site security, are delivered in an efficient and timely way that supports student success.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To provide and ensure Customer Excellence for the total student experience, with the aim of increasing income and learner numbers.
2. Deliver learner numbers and other KPIs to agreed targets.
3. Actively engage with learners and centre users to obtain feedback on services provided and use this to inform improvements.
4. Actively promote access to the full range of student services to encourage participation, i.e. financial support, course information and advice.
5. Maximise and process enrolments to meet targets.
6. Carry out aftercare contact with customers.
7. Actively participate in all promotions, events and operations for the District including those taking place during the evening and at weekends.
8. Understand and meet responsibilities for Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and other policies and comply with financial regulations.
9. Perform a security role, ensure rooms and resources are prepared for use, including moving of light furniture and setting out of spaces in liaison with tutors and colleagues.
The successful candidate will be required to register with Connect2Kent and will need to complete an online skills test prior to registration.
