We are currently looking for a conscientious and organised individual to join our professional team as Finance Officer.
This is a vital role that is responsible for the efficient and accurate financial management of our membership organisation. This is a full time, permanent position and you must be available to work full time, from Monday to Friday.
We hold an Annual Conference, which the successful applicant must be able to attend and work one full week away from home. The next conference is due to take place in April 2016 in Birmingham.
Maintaining our financial records, compliance with all statutory and external requirements and regulations and preparation of the charity’s payroll are all key tasks within this job role. At our Annual Conference you will also be expected to take responsibility for our tills and financial transactions and assist in the onsite registration of delegates.
Skill Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with formal accountancy qualifications and significant experience of financial management, preferably gained from working within the charity sector. The individual must have a high level of self-motivation, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a high level of accuracy. A working knowledge of the following is essential:
• Sage Line 50
• Sage Payroll
• Excel
• Word
You should be willing to learn new skills in IT including, using a bespoke database system presentation packages and emailing.
