Direct Payment Support Worker
Salary Band D: £23717 - £27543 (pro rata for part time)
5% pension (after probationary period)
18 hrs per week - to the end of March 2016

CFDP is part of a well established parent-driven charity working to support disabled children and their families as well as young adults up to the age of 25.

We are looking to recruit a Direct Payment Support Worker to work within our dedicated direct payment team.

A key function of this role is to assist potential clients to understand the nature and requirements of direct payments. To provide advice and assistance to families of disabled children and young adults who wish to employ staff to aid them in meeting their support requirements. To complete financial audits of individuals direct payment accounts on behalf of the local authority.

The successful applicant should have a proactive and positive work ethic, strong organisational and communication skills as well as good attention to detail. They should also have excellent numeracy skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

The service operates across the whole of Kent and will require the successful candidate to initially cover the Gravesend, Maidstone and Ashford area. The ability to offer a fieldwork style is vital and a full driving license and use of a car is essential. The position is home based. The post is initially up to the end of March 2016 and to start ASAP.

Knowledge of direct payments is preferable but not essential as we will provide comprehensive training in this area.
