The Ambrette Restaurant is looking for a Sous Chef.
Excellent holiday package. 5 day working week. 35 to 45 hours. Overtime available. 40% staff discount. Includes weekend work. Paid on an hourly basis.
Opportunity for promotion as the company expands this year. This is a great opportunity to join an acclaimed award winning fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate with have experience within a similar role.
Chefs of ALL nationalities welcomed and encouraged to apply as extensive training and support will be provided.
Duties include: -
• All head chef duties in the absence of the head chef
• Working on the range
• Cooking and serving to a high standard.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
• Cleaning
• Responsible for stock management
One of the following qualifications/experience: -
The ideal candidate will have a formal catering qualification or be able to show a proven track history of training on the job.
Skills Needed: -
• An ability to stay calm when the pressure mounts
• First rate culinary skills
• Experience in grilling meat and fish
• Experience with cooking sauces
• Experience on the range during busy service.
• Plating and presentation skills
• Food Hygiene Certificate
