My Client, an expanding, major player in the Pharmaceutical Industry, is now looking to recruit a Process Engineer to join, and enhance, their existing team, getting involved with new product introduction, resolution of process related issues, process optimisation and cost reduction initiatives.

The Role: Process Engineer

Ensure that process safety reviews (HSE reviews, Hazops etc.) are carried out
Ensure that processes are designed to minimise environmental impact
Lead or participate in safety reviews, HAZOP studies, hazardous area zoning and COSHH assessments.
Prepare relevant process engineering documents
Prepare commissioning procedures and co-ordinate commissioning activities.
Monitor and review process data to ensure processes operate as designed.
Implement all design projects in accordance with the Engineering Projects Request System
Ensure that plant master records (ELDs, datasheets and equipment database) are maintained Maintain an awareness of cGMP and other appropriate quality standards
Manage plant changes (projects and minor changes)
Provide expert technical advice to the customers of the Process Engineering group
Review designs to ensure an optimum balance between technical suitability, operability and cost-efficiency.


Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Process Engineer

Educated to Degree level in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Chartered status in engineering
Comprehensive technical experience of batch chemical processing and related operations
Knowledge of regulatory requirements
Project management
Sound knowledge of chemical process plant and equipment
Experience of process design, commissioning and production support of primary pharmaceutical, batch process manufacture
Understanding of chemical processing / engineering implications of HSE legislation and cGMP regulatory requirements.
