We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer for 6 - 9 months, to complete this assignment.
You will be assisting the Group Accountant in providing an efficient and effective accountancy service.
Experience/Qualifications & Knowledge we are seeking in an applicant:
Ideally part AAT qualified or recent/relevant experience that demonstrates finance proficiency
Recent/relevant experience that demonstrates proficiency in English/Maths
A – C grades in Maths and English GCSE’s or higher
2 years recent and relevant experience within a financial environment
Experience of working within a customer facing environment
Detailed knowledge of operating MS Office (ie. Word, Excel and Outlook)
Experience of computerised financial information systems
Experience of budget setting, monitoring and closing of accounts
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Any relevant experience of working in a finance role in within local authority
Excellent communication skills
The ability to work within a team and on own initiative
Strong levels of numeracy
The ability to analyse complex financial data and present to non-financial recipients
Hours of work:
8.30am – 5.00pm with an hour for lunch
Rate of Pay:
Hourly rate in the region of £11.49 per hour neg depending on experience.
