ID&C is an award winning company based on the north farm industrial estate in Tunbridge Wells. We work with the music festival and sporting industries around the world.

Due to expansion a position has become available in our sales team on a full time permanent basis. you will report to the sales director and work within a team of at least 10 sales people supporting the business development of the company in 66 countries worldwide.

Key responsibilities:
1) Manage Business Development: Generate new business leads in line with Sales Director’s strategy, research and identify industry communication channels (journals, magazines, websites, blogs, social media etc)
2) Process quotes: Process email, website and telephone enquiries. Follow up responses if unanswered, provide samples and sample packs. Provide clear and accurate pricing and product information, send & chase customers for artwork mock ups.
3) Process sales: Take telephone sales, process website sales, manage repeat business lists and develop accounts. Raise orders on CRM system, take & record credit card payments, send order confirmation support credit control process, reply to personal email enquiries, instruct logistics to raise purchase orders. Provide clear and accurate pricing and product information.
4) Manage production: raise enquiries with suppliers, confirm lead times where necessary and inform customers throughout production process to ensure orders are on time. Escalate large pricing issues with Sales Director
5) Manage customer complaints: orders delayed, quality problems, check courier website to get update on delivery and use logistics only where necessary

Other tasks:
1) Liaise with production team to resolve issues
2) Liaise with artwork department to chase approvals for order artwork
3) Ad-hoc request where the business need arises
4) Keep clients updated on awaiting stock items and expected new deliveries.
5) Internet Research – Event dates, new events, festivals, possible new target audiences and to check out new customers
6) Contact warm leads from exhibitions, with literature note, quotes and samples.

Personality characteristics required in role:
1) Customer focused
2) Attention to detail is a must
3) Excellent customer service & telephone manor is essential
4) Excellent organisational skills with the flexibility to meet changing priorities as the need dictates
5) Ability to assimilate a number of tasks, adhere to strict deadlines and work methodically
6) Ability to work well under pressure
7) Must have excellent Excel, Word and internet knowledge
8) Ability to form and sustain outstanding working relationships internally and externally at a variety of levels
9) A team player with first-rate analytical and communicational skills
10) Ability to work under your own initiative
11) A Good sense of humour
